This monument was erected in 1954 to honor the memory of this Red Army divisional commander who was killed in the Civil War. A monument to count Alexey Bobrinskiy who pioneered the sugar-beet industry in Kyiv stood in more or less the same place until 1920. This is located just outside our hotel.
